We thank you for the reciept of the evenings earnings as well as your tithe to the city for operations. I congratulate you on the success of your business and hope for continued propserity.

We would insist repectfully, to mark your sanction as a business within the Empire, that you change the sign's color to the standard Umbran black and red four-square design.

To maintain the business viability, and maintain the ability for you allow those of non-Umbran origin free and open access, I will be sending a pair of Umbran militiamen to act as guards for your establishment. They will not impede or impinge on your ability to do business in any manner, but are simply there to act as peacekeepers in the name of the Empire. There will be no cost to you or your business for this garrison.

On a personal note, the red wine was of an excellent vintage.

Warden,

We are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us last evening, and that the book keeping information we sent was satisfactory for your administrative needs. It is our hope that the resort will not only be a haven for Sosarians, but a financial boon to both ourselves and the city of Umbra.

The changes to the sign you requested have been carried out this very night. As far as the militiamen you will be sending to our place of business as long as it is understood that the control of the resort itself remains under my partner and myself, I have no complaints about the addition. I must tell you we have no acceptable house for the guard to use, since our rooms are reserved for our guests. I hope this is not an inconvenience.
