Greetings General,

I hope that this missive finds you in the most blessed of situations. We have only held short conversation in the past but I do hope to find out more about you and the town of Blackmarsh. I will be reassuming the position of Sultan of Nujel'm, and with the position, I do hope to get an understanding of the diplomacy that exist between Nujel'm and respective Empires not associated with it. I do also understand that Nujel'm is part of the Burning Empire and do hope to gain a better understanding of your thoughts on the Empire as a whole.

I've heard you voice opinion regarding The City Watch, and I do hope to get a much deeper understanding regarding that opinion. I truly only come with the ideal of diplomacy in mind; nothing else. I bring no threat, I am only a scholar and diplomat hoping to gain a better understanding so that our respective groups can coexist without ill will.

I have only been back in Nujel'm for a short while, and noticed that many changes have taken place abroad. I would love to visit the township of Blackmarsh under your supervision, if possible.

Should you have any questions or concerns, feel free to direct them to me at your convenience.

In Balance,

Rufus Oryan
Sultan of Nujel'm
Apostle of Balance, Order of The Anskitas
Paragon of Erudition, The Erudite Brotherhood

Greetings Sultan,

It is good to hear from you. It is true that we've only spoke briefly in passing, but your reputation is that of an intelligent, diplomatic man. A worthy friend to have. If you also fancy a comely wench and a good ale, I'm sure I could find you those as well. But more on that later.

It is true that the City Watch and I are, shall we say, "not friends." I do have my reasons, but I'll leave them off paper and let you hear them directly from me instead. The Burning Empire as a whole also doesn't sit well with me. But again, let us leave that conversation to one in person.

All that being said, I welcome your visit to Blackmarsh at your convenience. We have much to discuss, and I am interested in hearing how you plan to work Nujel'm back to a glorious and bountiful city.

Cal Hurst

General of the Blackmarsh Military
