As tears fall down her face onto the parchment Wynn decided to sit and write a quick note to Poet. Thinking to herself "Maybe if I make it small enough a rat could carry it he may get it." With that thought she begins to write.

My Dearest Poet,

I am very worried for you. I miss you and hope you get out soon. Please stay safe.

Sincerely,

Wynn

After folding the letter as small as she can.She ties it to a brown rat with brown string. "Take this to Poet. He is in the jail at Stonegate. Don’t get caught and I will feed you well when you return." She then opens the door and sends him on his way.

Poet takes the note and reads it over and reads it.

He then turns the note over and begins to write:

Me sweet bonny lass,

My rooms here at the prison are quite luxurious. I get a crust of bread and odd tasting water if I but ask. I managed to relocate my dislocated shoulder, but can do little for the broken collarbone at the moment.

Take heart in the knowledge I am as well as can be in the circumstances.

Yours,

Poet

He reties the note to the rat and sends him on his way.

Working in the gardens around the farm Wynn feels a tickle at her foot. Not looking but rubbing at the tickle she feels something furry. Slowly turning around she sees the rat she sent to Poet. Looks at his belly and sees the same parchment she had placed there. Taking it off she sees there is writting on the back side of it. She notices the handwritting and it was Poets. After reading the letter she feels divided in her emotions. "Well he is alive and he says he is well but he is still hurt. We must get him out of there." Placeing the note in her apron she finishes up her last bit of work and heads inside.
