Lord Thorin, Diplomatic Consul to Clan Moor steps into the room.

"Lord Thorin, Please so to it that the following letter reaches Lord Alex Brightblade. Please review it and let me know if you have any questions."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lord Alex Brightblade,

I have heard from friends that you are troubled by the results of the Yew Court of Inquiry.
I am concerned as well. I had expected with the evidence at hand that there would be at least a recommendation for a misdeamonor assault charge. However, the Inquiry was called to determine whether the Dark Awakening is a group that follows the way of Darkness.

You would think by the rumours that have followed the Dark Awakening this would be an easy task; but when witnesses and victimes were called the worst they could be factually accused of was having Lady Isilmea alledgely pricked by a knife for a few drops of blood. Can a group be declared evil for this alledged action? An action which if it did occur was done by one person? Of course not.

The Dark Awakening claims they have changed their direction and put their evil ways behind them and for nearly the last six months since it does appear they have stayed true to their word. Trust me, I am still suspicious, but thus far the rumours bear little truth to reality.

Justice depends on Facts and Truth. The Yew Court of Truth properly weighed the facts and came to the only conclusion possible. If we allow the Courts and Justice to be led by Rumours 'Evil' has won.

Let your heart know you did the right thing. We can't have Justice guided by rumours.

* A message sent by falcon from the Citadel of Light in Vesper arrives to Alex Brightblade at an encampment outside the City of Minoc*

"Well I wonder what this could be?"

Alex unrolls the scroll and begins reading the letter. After finishing the letter he nods while setting the falcon down on a perch outside his tent..he then goes into his tent and searchs through his belongings for a piece of parchement paper and some ink and quill. After finding the items he is looking for he walks over to the makeshift table in the tent and sits down and begins to write.

Greetings Lord Red Wind,

First it I may say it is an honor to hear from you my friend. As for the matter of the inquiry into the actions of the Dark Awakening against the House of the Guantlet and Queen Isilmea of Asur'hernion I continue to doubt myself on way I decided. True the inquiry that I took part in was more of a there word against they others word without really any hard proof other then testimony. If it is true the Dark Awakening has turned from there evil ways I pray they remain on that path and will not fall back into there former ways. My doubt is only from that I feel I may not have had all the facts or there may have been some proof that I may have missed in the other days of the Inquiry for as I was only there towards the end. Overall this is in the past the decision of the court of Yew stands but I shall keep a close eye on the actions of the Dark Awakening for sometime to make sure there ways are now noble and true. I thank you for your conern my friend and know I will not lose anymore sleep over this matter it is put past me now only the future is before me. I close this letter in a blessing my friend that the Virtues may lead you and guide you forever and keep your path striaght. Until we speak again my friend I bid you farewell and safe journies..

Signed:
Alex Brightblade
Knight of the Rose
General, Guardians of Vesper

*sealed with the emblem of House Brightblade*

After finishing the letter Alex rolls the letter up and seals it with wax. He then walks out of his tent to the perch where he left the falcon. He opens the case on the falcons right claw, folds the letter and puts it in the case and closes the lid. He then picks the falcon up and whistles a command as he left the falcon go into the sky sending it on its way to find Red wind in Yew. Alex then walks back into his and returns to his studies. As the day starts to draw to an end Alex knows there will be many more days on the road before he see's the comfort of home again.
