I found the post from wayyyy long years ago introducing this liquid drug on the storyboard, and since it's beginning to resurface (*looks innocent*), so thought I'd post a piece of it here, in ooc form so that anyone interested can get a better idea of what it is & what it can do.

RP Guidelines ((NOT rules))
1) -Racial & individual constitution/stamina may determine how soon, how much, how long lasting, and how dangerous consumption is. ie, Orcs could drink more than humans, Humans more than elves. (lumping elves, drow, melnibone into the same constitution category to make it simple). Affects on others, like undead, lycan, Atalan, pooka, etc remain unknown....til someone wants to rp's it ig and tells us.
2) - Please note it is a liquid drug/toxin , sometimes used by assassins, and not alcohol. Drinking alcohol while using this may be more dangerous. It is highly & quickly addictive. I don't mean, you take a sip or even a whole glass and your done for, just use your best judgement according to your char's race and rp. A helpful note is that it's been seen to cause addiction to a cpl of different elf type chars after only 2-3 glasses over a period of a cpl of days.
3) - Notable Affects vary by individual. (The fun or serious rp part) Rule of thumb, if you wish to participate in this rp is: play it by ear and do what you judge is best fitting for your character and the circumstance. You have total creative control. And it's up to you how silly or how seriously deadly it can be for your character.
Here's a list of affects that you might enjoy, so feel free to pick & choose or make your own to have the most out of the rp experience:
*Extreme Intoxication/Drunk, (as if drinking alot of booze)
*Total Chaos of Thoughts, (everything is jumbled, comprehension or clear thought nearly impossible)
*Alignment Change, (temporary. good to evil, chaotic to order, etc)
*Jibberish Speech, (you hear everyone as talking jibberish while you are really the one doing so, but dont know it.)
*Slight Hallucinations, (from time to time you see something odd that no one else does)
*Major Hallucinations, (life has suddenly become a giant theme park of oddities & your on the ride of your life)
*Paranoia/Phobia, (range: some are out to get you - jump @ every sound - you fear everything)
*Superman syndrome, (fear nothing, you can do anything. Your king/queen of the world.)
*Hippy Syndrome, (LOVE, Peace & Love. Everyone loves you and you love everyone else, and you just need to show it)
*Vader Syndrome, (HATE, Destroy, Hate. Slap those annoying people around. They deserve it, they hate you. you hate them.)
*Identity Confusion, (you think your someone your not. Molly, Isk, the Urk boss, whoever you choose. So act like it.)
*Enhanced Senses, (Pick one or more: your taste, touch, and smell senses are magnified greatly. Everything tastes better & you cant eat enough of it. Smells worse/wonderful-you puke/keep sniffing. Feels better-you just cant stop rubbing that cat's fur, it's so soft.)
BAD Side Effects as your body tells you, you drank too much:
*Extreme Nausea & Cramping, (go to bed, you'll be queasy in the morning, but fine)
*Severe Nausea & Cramping,(time to take a few healing potion or even see a healer, 1-3 days recovery time. Healers cut that in half)
*Deadly Nausea & Cramping, (normal potions are useless, see a healer asap or possible coma or (death?) may occur. recovery time varies....need an rp excuse for that rl vacation?)
*Demons Dream, aka coma w/ intense mental tortures. Can last hours or days with treatment. No recovery without a special healer. (rp healers specializing in alchemy or magicks of the soulstream would be of great use here; but ofcourse you decide)
*Amnesia, self explanatory. It can be temporary lasting only a day or more, or maybe you or others have to make efforts of a quest like nature to obtain your memory back. Or you just need a certain type of jarring of the memory, like a slip & fall, a kiss, the name of a beloved pet, etc.
*Paralysis, (range: partial - total. Fingers, toes to full body. Temporary, semi permanent, or permanent. Your call)
*Additional Addiction,(you may become addicted to the very potions used to cure you of any of the above ailments)
*Death, (umm..I seriously don't think anyone wants to choose this route, however it's available if you are thinking of killing off that unneeded alt you never feel like playing)
Okidoki, so why did I write all this? Other than having too much time on my hands, I have a little idea to introduce this Melnibone Wine to the rp community as a whole this next Tavern Night. If your given a bottle sometime during the evening, you are welcome to play along or just treat it as any other bottle of booze. You decide. Also, if you'd rather not be embarrased by uo's normal new drunken state of nekkedness and song, you can just "pretend" to drink it if you still want to participate.
To make it interesting, I'll try to provide a book for anyone that might be given a bottle with a random affect in the first list on it. You can choose to totally disregard the book, use it for kicks, or whatever.
I have NO idea what will happen, how many, if any , will participate. There is no ultra scheme...okay, well sorta, but thats just Ditto being Ditto & having fun, and not Tarothin's doing.....however who knows what can happen in rp fun. Hehe

(Bottled as both "Melnibone Wine" and "Melni'wuna". The Melni'wuna was made for those of the more upper class status. The only real difference between the two is color. Black, Melni'wuna and red Melnibone Wine.)

I told you....he is so poor that he married me for my gold! And he's allergic to booze & his sneezes break the bottles...Remember????
So, I dont know what he's talking about being able to drink it...he um, cant drink any booze.

Trying to get a ballpark figure on how many books to make.
So, how many of ya might be interested in participating in the rp wine random effect thing for this Monday's tavern night?
I'll be making books and putting an effect off the list into it. You can choose to do it that way or pick/create your own if you want to take part.
