Sheriff Spawn,

I saw your letter to my servant, Valkor, and I know of his actions. In consequence of other actions, unrelated to the death of 'David', I have made a decision I trust will please you to hear.

I was planning to escort Valkor myself, and deliver him to whatever justice you would see fit for him. This was the plan of course....As I woke this morning and made my rounds of the castle, I found Valkor lying in a pool of his own blood. There is another element of blood nearby, I trust this to be the attackers, and I would as soon investigate this, but after a prior encounter, it doesn't take any genius to know who did it.

Valkor Metalus was assaulted, and nearly killed by your own Nephi. I know this to be true as in Minoc the other day, right before Azeroth's battle with The Legion, Nephi strode in demanding to challenge Valkor. Math is simple with giveaways like that.

Valkor killed David in reparation for his disobediance of oath....Nephi nearly killed David is responde to this....These circumstances have forced me to consider Valkor's debt to your law enforcment, a wash. Valkor will not be delivered, and we will not persue Nephi.

I consider this matter to be finished.

Spawn sat in his Blackgard office in Sanctus doing some paperwork. Suddenly, a messenger entered the office and handed Spawn a letter. The messenger then saluted Spawn and left the office. The Sheriff opened the letter and began to read it. After a few moments, Spawn put down the letter and pondered a few moments. He then took out a piece of parchment and a pen with ink. Spawn put the blank parchment in front of him and began to write on it.

I have received your letter and understand what has occured. I'm deeply sorry for what happened to Valkor. However, this does not excuse him from the crimes he committed inside Sanctus. Valkor murdered a man and he will face the consequences for it. I will give him until tomorrow to turn himself to the Sanctus authorites before I issue a warrant for his arrest. I apologize for being like this but I'am just doing my job.

As for the person who assaulted Valkor, If you can present the proper evidence to me that Nephi did indeed assault Valkor, I will make sure he faces the consequences as well. If you wish, I can help you with your investingation to show my good will. Thank you for your attention and Good day to you Bailos.

Dear Spawn,

I am sure you are getting letters from Azeroth about Valkor. I do admit that I assaulted him, but it was for the life he was about to take on this lady friend of his. Valkor manipulated her into coming to the keep and when I came in, he used her against me by threatening to slit her throat. ALTHOUGH, I did intend to come in and either kill him or he could turn him self into you. Whenever we meet in Sanctus I will tell you the whole story but for now lets just leave it to that.

Dear Spawn,

It would seem we are corresponding a lot lately, if we are going to make this a habit, I would hope it's on more friendly terms next time...Getting to business, I spoke with Nephi in Sanctus today, only to pass on a message. I had planned on personally delivering Valkor into your custody today, however his wounds prevent him from traveling. Extend his grace period to turn himself in. As soon as he is physically capable of the travel and is believed to be in the clear medically, as determined by a doctor, then I will deliver him with haste.

For now, I would ask you to stay away from Valkor and other members of the Azeroth empire unless authorized by myself or another superior officer. Dear Duke Myrdra,

I will allow Valkor time for his wounds to heal. When he is able to walk on his own, I expect Valkor to be turned in immediately. I have asked Nephi to avoid Valkor and other members of the Azeroth empire for the time being. I would also ask if you and your men did the same with Nephi so further incidents could be avoided. If you need to speak to me privately, I will be available tonight during the Sanctus training session. Thank you and Good day.
