Scribbling to various correspondents with his pen, Balbanes sees a bird of virtous appearance fly through the window, at which point he throws a dagger at it, which hits it on the leg, and the bird flies off bleeding...He manages to get the note attached to the bird's now partially severed leg as it drops on the stone floor right below the window. He opens it...and then writes his own response

Un-required is the wrong word for this bloodshed. The only thing you are correct about is that this matter has gone far beyond words. Take action, it's a change from your idle banter. You have insulted and injustfully claimed land which is not yours. You have defiled the creator and all which he stands for, and so you stand in the way of the second coming of the firstworlder. Your arrogance will be your undoing. Enjoy preparing for the attack, it will be the last one you prepare for.

I had hoped for more clarity and rational, yet is seems the prior mention has met a deaf ear. The loss of life, in all its glorious forms, is indeed a sad thing to behold, and gaze upon it you shall, sadly by your own words.
