Upon hearing reports about this new religious movement that was making inroads on the community, Sarah decided to go to the service. Not knowing what to expect she was mildly surprised at the mixed audience that attended.

The priest was the one that had frequently attended the Regency meetings and he was very well rehearsed in his words. The service went smoothly and was very educational. Sarah had hoped that such a ceremony would have been presented by her husband, Rufus. Known for his thoughts on the Virtues and of Order along with Balance, he would have enjoyed this evening. But knowing her husband as she does, the night would have been longer if he had been able to attend. For Sarah could see the priest and Rufus with bowed heads in a private conversation which would have lasted for hours.

As it was, immediately after the mass that Lady LaBelle approached with a pleading look upon her face to ask for an audience with the Queen. There was a room below the chapel area where guests were invited to remain and associate. It was there that Lady LaBelle and Queen Sarah talked. One with a firmness of compassion persuaded the other to relent. Sarah was mildly reminded of her duties were not subject to her free-will but that of the populace and the Regent. Only the wise yet kindly words of Sarah’s friend would have been able to change the heart of the Queen. Gently as she does with most things but with wisdom within her words LaBelle tenderly educated the young Queen to her duties.

To have a dear friend such as the Lady LaBelle was truly a gift from the Goddess. And as a pledge to her dearest friend, to her husband, to the Loyalists and to the realm Sarah rededicated herself to the fruition of her husband’s vision.
