after sending the Councils official reply to the Order of the Ebon Skull Lilyth decided one more letter should be sent. To the Army of the Frontier

Captain Arlin,

I hope this letter finds you in good health. I wished to make you aware that the Order of the Ebon Skull approached the Council wishing to build a Church of Oblivion within Yew Trammels borders. At this time we do not feel this question is ours to answer, especially with no prior communicatin with you and your diplomatic staff. I send this to you as information from one citizen of Yew to another. I should also like to find a time soon when you and your viceroy would be able to meet with myself and Vice Mayor Nick. If the council or myself may be of help in anyway with this matter, do let us know.

Respectfully,

Lilyth Noir

Dominatria walked down the massive hallway of the Abbey towards the exit. On her way out, she noticed a stack of papers on the Captain's desk. He'd been busy with training the newer soldiers, and had now fallen ill at the end of an unknown assassin's dagger. Noticing the Yew Town Council's seal on one of the missives, she picked it up and read.

Returning to her own desk, she removed the quill from its well and began to write:

M'lady Noir,

As one citizen of Yew to another, I thank you for an update as to the current affairs of our great city. However, as a fellow diplomat, I cannot help but wonder about the Council's intentions regarding the situation. It was the Council who was approached, and not our great army.
If it is assistance you seek, then feel free to ask. Until then I wish your Mayorship the best of luck in dealing with the undead.
As far as a meeting goes, the Captain will be unable to attend until he recovers from his recent assault. We will be sure to notify you via pigeon once he is well.

Sincerely,
Dominatria

A messenger arrives with a letter marked with Army of the Frontiers Sigil.
Lilyth looked to it hopefully after several days of spending time amongst the Army her view had brightened on the matter. Opening the letter Lilyth read the words quite surprised to find the enclosure and a bit confused.

Lady Dominatria,

Thank you for the reply, I hope your Captain is recovering well and will be at full tilt again soon. Your reply I must say somewhat confuses me. As the standing force in Yew Trammel I felt the matter should be in the Armies hands. I considered the council taking on the responsibility of the Order threatening Yew. As things stand between the Council and the Army I was hesitant to bring a military force of the Councils into Yew Trammel for fear it's intent would be mistaken as an action against AOF.
It did not please me to redirect the Liche Lords ultimatum to the Army but as the Army controls Yew Trammel at this time it was the proper course.

We offer our support, both diplomatically and in arms should AOF require help dealing with this new threat from outside of Yew. We will not however take a stance over Yew Trammel that is not ours to take. We are a simple council of concerned Yew guilds, having no territorial claim on Yew Trammel makes it unwise and illsuited for the Council to answer in the Armies place regarding this threat.

Should you require our swords we will lend them. If we find the threats of the Ebon Skull are not met sufficiently to protect the citizens of Yew Trammel we will respectfully intercede. I do not see the second a likley outcome. I believe The Army is capeable of dealing with the threats within it's claimed borders.

I look forward to meeting with you and your Captain once again, perhaps the next will be more fruitful than those of the past. Be of good health M'Lady till next we speak.

Respectfully,

Lilyth Noir
Mayor YTC
