After sending off the letter to Rufus, Porthos sat back down with his special supplies. He thought for a moment and began to write.......



Greetings Lord Isk,

I hope this letter finds you well. I meant no disrespect to you last
night at the Regency meeting and didn't mean to put you on the spot
as it were. For that, I apologize. I just found it odd that a man of
your noble stature was completely unaware of the goings on of the
people who represent you. They have made claims that range from
the handling of the rescuing of the Oricle of Love to being able to
handle the Ebon Skull and Orc with no outside help. These
representatives whom you've sent have walked out of meetings and
been curt to any who had tried to address them on any subject, as
there have been other things as well. I would be glad to share such
things in private if you wish, as well as to speak with you on the
possibilities of an understanding in our common goals. I look forward
to hearing from you.

Porthos folds and seals the letter in a red wax and presses his ring with the skull and scorpion deep into it forming the seal. He returns to his aviary again and selects another fine falcon. He sets the bird on its way and awaits a response.
