*written in a fine flowing script upon parchment of a golden hue, in scarlet ink*

Dearest Lady LaBelle,

I hope this missive finds you well and in good spirits. As you ask of me, I attended the Knighting Ceremony at the Citadel of the Blackwind Knights, last eve. A diverse crowd had gathered to witness the elevation of the newest Blackwind Knight. Many of those gathered were unknown to me, however among those I did know were Duchess Molly and Lord Isk.

The ceremony was elegant in its simplicity, Duke Kotare of the Blackwind welcomed those gathered before turning over the ceremony to Sir Sid. The candidate, Lady Liza was called forward, and Sir Sid then read the qualifications and duties of a Knight. Then a Knight was ask to step forward to vouchsafe for her qualifications. Duke Kotare, himself came forward to bear witness of Lady Liza’s fitness for Knighthood. Lady Liza then gave her oath of fealty to the Duke, her order, and her comrades. Lady Liza was then instructed to kneel, and was Knighted. Her elevation to the office of Knighthood was greeted by much applause by the assembled crowd. After the crowed quieted, Lady Genna came forward to speak briefly and present Lady Liza the gift of a fine war mace. After more applause and congratulations from those assembled, gates were opened to the location of the Ball in the Knights honor.

The Ball was held at the home of the Duchess of Blackwind, which was beautifully decorated for the occasion, and guests were made welcome as they arrived. Many of those that had attended the ceremony also attended the Ball afterwards. Shortly after arrival, many were sampling various libations and were talking in small groups.

I was able to speak briefly, in private with the Duke concerning your request. Duke Kotare received word of your eminent arrival in Yew with grace and good cheer, and welcomes your stay. He asks that you present yourself to this eve’s meeting of the Yew Commonwealth, if you are able.

After our conversation, I returned to the Ball for a short time. The festivities were well underway by this time, and many seemed to be enjoying themselves. I introduced myself to Lady Liza, and congratulated her elevation to her new office and wished her the best of luck. Having duties to attend to, I excused myself and took my leave.

In Service,

Mia

Good Sister,

I am pleased you were able to
meet with the Duke on the occasion,
and see to present him my request.
It is unfortunate that I will not be
able to make such haste unto
Yew for the Commonwealths
gathering. It will be at least
two days time before I
depart to Yew.

My sisters, eloquent description
of the nights event, has me to
looking forward to my stay in
the city. I thank you for
making the trip, and
trust that the event
of the eve rested well
upon your delights.

Peace and Health,

~LaBelle
