William long awaited to enter the city of Yew, because he wanted the people who have been apressed the most to hear about the Lord of Light. William never could enter the city to speak because he had to pay a fine to the common wealth which made William see that Kotare is a man with no faith. Going without the Lion Guard, taking the biggest risk ever to talk with the Yew people about the Duke. He wanted to go as an ordianry man besides the Cheif Commander of Valoria. William went to both moons so that everyone can here what he had to say. Before he made his approach he went to the Felucca moon first for he used to live there once. William went to West Yew University or whats left of it, many memories hit him and tears began to come down his eyes as he remembers his brother William Smit IV and his good friend Sylvio who are both dead. Also the memories of his Dean Dyluck Blade and Krythan with the Yew Town Council. He has not been in the city since he was chasing Blackthorn, now he is back speaking on the problems and the light.

Greeting men and women of Yew, I am William Cheif Commander of the Lion Knights and Valoria. I am here because I know that you all are force to close your eyes to the light and to close your ears to the voice of the Light. Wether Kotare is closing your eyes and hears for he is blind and deaf without a covering. Yew has been oppressed for so long and the end doesn't see near. War has not come to this city since the second Yew War, now you may face a Yew war three for the same reasons as the second. It is not right that you can not seek Light in his city of Justice, because a man who is not in control of the city tells you he can not do a thing. Then again he rejects the Lord, now the Lord rejects him in this time of mayhem from dark. The Orc to the south of you I know you have hatred for, I understand for they have raided and killed many in this city state. Orcs are not the evil creature of Sosaria, but they believe that this is their home just like Minax think Britian and the realm is hers. Forgive the orcs for they know not what they do, this land is yours not theirs for the Lord of Light has showed that in the second Yew war. I got news for you this Thrax doesn't seek Yew for the orcs but himself and that will not happen. I know what you are thinking, will anyone help you after the act your Duke has done? The answer is simply this the Lord will not forsaken his city of Justice, what ever may come or suffering you will not get abandoned. As for Kotare the second you have burned my letters and disgraced me and the Lord of Light in his own city, now hear me as im in front of you. The Lord is sick of you disgracing his name, and bulling the people and leaders of light. No more will you do this, for your at the test of faith what will you do Kotare believe and be blessed or forsake and be judged what will you pick Kotare. You say that you are the peoples wishes yet I see a poverty in one moon and a aristocrat family in the other. Then you ask if I pay you to speak never but I will do this *William poors out 2000gp in the streets* there's my fine to the people not to a man with no faith. If you ask forgivness to the Lord or me then I will also pay the fine as a gift for your intervention. But no more Kotare, NO MORE.
William leaves the crowd as they have a look of confusion and remorse as they get from a man besides words. William didnt leave Yew yet but moved to a location in Yew where the Duke may not find him, but William writes to some of the guard for his protection.

Glory walked through Yew returning with information for the Duchess when she stumbled upon a great mess of papers and wine bottles a piece of gold here and there could be seen littering the ground. She scratched her head and approached a young child who was scouring the ground to collect those scattered pieces of gold. She knelt beside the boy and asked where this mess had come from.
The boy looked up at her answering, "some man named William of Valium or Valerian, I dun care he threw Gold!"
Glory grinned at the child "Why did he throw gold on the ground?"
The boy smiled "he said it was for a fine for Duke Kotare, why did Duke Kotare get fined?".
Her eyes glimmered, "perhaps he was speaking of the permit for public gathering?" she questioned.
"Yes!" he exclaimed "thats it he said he had to pay to talk, Do we have to pay to talk? I only have 4 gold pieces."
After a chuckle Glory answered "No little one you do not have to pay to talk, it is nice however when people make a public speaking engagement in Yew they seek out the permit or clean up the mess they leave behind themselves."
The boy looked befuddled "My father is the street sweep here in Yew, this man put his gold on the ground for all to take?"
Glory looking at the boy answered, "It would appear so but I am sure the Duke will make sure your father is paid just the same for his services. Not to worry."
"but"...the boy stammered "he said the Duke was bad and talked about a Thrax man from Ogle Rock. He said the Duke of Blackwind ruled Yew, did the Duchess of Yew die?" genuine concern filled his face.
"The Duke is not a bad man and the Duchess of Yew is alive and well. Has your family come to harm since the Orcs were beaten back to thier lands?"
"No" the boy said sheepishly. "I ain't even seen an Orc in ages."
Glory grinned again, "nor have I young one, be a dear now and ask your father if he would mind taking care of this mess", she handed the boy a large pouch fulI of gold, "there is a substantial extra amount as this is not your fathers normal task. I have business with the Duchess, do not worry over this Thrax person his time is coming soon enough. Duchess Lilyth would not let any harm come to her people."
With a sweet smile the boy of perhaps eight picked a single wild flower and blushed handing it to Glory, "Can you give this to the Duchess Lady?"

During the speech, William failed to reconize Kotare among the crowed. Though silent he remained during the speech, he wanted William to know that he was not going to defeat the laws of Yew easily. While he looked on, William was saying

Kotare could only smirk as he realized that William either had a speech impediment or he was heavily intoxicated. In either case, Kotare was there to let the people of Yew know that he was among them and that they had every right to listen as well as speak up for themselves.

William continued on with his speech as if ignoring the outcry of the crowd.

It was just then Kotare who was hooded began to come forth towards the makeshift podium. he steped up to stand next to William who went silent and was currious as to who this dark stanger could be. Just then Kotare lowered his hood and simply grinned. Shocked, William took a few steps back but hesitated to run.

"So, No More eh William? You said your peice, now to say mine. I do not rule these lands as you have so clearly pointed out. Even the children among the crowd laugh at the nonsence you just spat out. We are all governed by the fair Lady Noir, my wife and confidant. And though I am sure the crowd is greatful of your generous gift of coins, it is still trivial in comparison to the payments made by our government to these people for the reconstruction of Yew. Think on this if you will. When you are gone, these people will still praise the Duchess, myself and each other. Not because I stand here and promise them the stars and a piece of heaven. but rather because I and my wife are realistic. We promise what we know we can deliver. That is the vow to protect these fine people to the very last. We aid them by paying them for their services, we create jobs when their are not enough. We make sure that the children have a proper upbringing by societies standards by employing teachers from near and afar. our military is all volenteer. it has always been. It shall always be. The Orcs failed to treat these people properly. This Thrax you speak of is one man compared to our many. I and the others around me, show no fear of this man's aims but seek him out for past crimes."

Kotare then turns to William who has by now backed off the podium.

"As for my faith, just because I do not believe in your Lord does not mean i do not hold faith. I have faith in those around me. I have faith in the system in which we created and protect. I have faith in the fact that fate plays her part in life and not the will of a single god. I do not question nor attack your faith William, I only bring up the facts. It was not your Lord who drove me to launch an attack against the Orcs. It was not your lord who drove me to aid in the defence of Britan. It was a choice I had made along with those around me. We are a humble people. but when we feel threatened, we will lash out. We are a people of pride. We do things to our benefit and to the benefit of others regardless if they like our help or not. When you made payment to these people, you cheated them. Though I doubt that have any problems accepting your generocity, those who will have to come here to clean up your mess will have been cheated out of funds because you failed to properly pay for the permit. you simply bribed the people here to accept what you had to say at the value of a coin. While the Street sweeper strugles to make a living, he will do so not because he is asked, he does so because of his love for this city. The purpose of the commonwealth is to ensure he is rewarded for his pride and faith to his home. long after you have gone, we will still be here. So your words here were a waste of time."

The crowd now was cheering on Kotare as William turned and fled as he was now being pelted by stones. To where he ran, Kotare didn't know, nor did he not have any intention of following. He felt that Willaim had learned his lesson and thus allowed the crowd to chase him off. And such was the real happenings of the speach in Yew.
