Amadar'iul walked quietly, almost gliding on his magic, moving towards the Corrupted Forest of Umbra. He could feel the power pulsing from the woods, but he did not fear it.

"It will yield before our power and we will cleanse this land. What could possibly stand against our will?" he softly mumbled to himself, keeping his eyes on the goal before him...

... ... ...

The horde of undead abominations and infernal fiends had been pushed back and defeated for the moment. The elves had not expected such a force to burst from the woods, but it had been dealt with. Amadar'iul however had been seperated from his brothers in the battle and after sending one last blast of his magic after the retreating mob, he turned to look for them.

"Quickly Amadar'iul!" shouted a lesser member of the House, "They need you to return to the ritual!"

Nodding once he realized that finding his brothers would have to wait, this was why they had come. Running back to the gathering, he immediately withdrew himself into his magic, using his arcane abilities to stengthen the woodland connection that all elves know and love. But something was wrong...not only was the spirit of the forest resisting the connection... it was actually using it's hate and malice to manifest itself...

Amadar'iul quickly pulled himself out of his magic, but he was too late. Already he could see a green mist forming. He managed one hoarse shout to call for his brothers before the mist became a swirling maelstorm... his last sight was of his family... choking... clutching their throats... falling to the ground around him... then all was dark...
