Jon sat in his cell awaiting the verdict to come down from his trial. He knew in his heart he had done nothing wrong short of falling for the trickery of a lonely bar wench turned guard. The trial replayed in his mind over and over and as it did his hatred for the light bringers and the pitiful virtues they touted to serve their own means grew. Footsteps approached. "This is it." Jon thought to himself. "Not guilty" Said the guard. Jon recognized him as one of the guards that kicked him in the gut at his last release. The cell opened and the guard escorted Jon to the exit. As Jon walked out the door he punched the guard in the stomach doubling him over then kicked him squarely in the crotch. Laughing, Jon bent down and said "Arrr...Next time ye be gittin yer facts straight before makin yer own judgment". With that he spit on the man and headed off to Yew.

As he rode he couldn't help but think of the feisty brunette who'd slapped him at the courthouse. He admired her nerve and she pleased his eye. An evil grin came over his face as he remembered Lord Isk saying, "Maybe you should take a wife". "Then take I shall." Jon said to himself. He Stopped at a messenger service in Yew to send a message on ahead.

Lady Sairon,

It seems once again I am a free man. For how long I do not know as it seems they invent charges as they go. I will be arriving in Moonglow in a few days. I have a job for you. I will need 2 cases of rum and enough provisions for a month at sea. I will discuss the rest when I see you.

With the pigeon flying ahead Jon mounted his horse and set off for Moonglow and back to his ship.
