My dearest Pon, Raz, and Jarik,

Where to even begin? I am sure you are puzzled regarding my abrupt departure and subsequent absence. I feel that I owe you some sort of explanation as I love you all dearly and don't want you to worry about me any longer.

I have been feeling lost of late. Adrift on a sea of despair. Between the wedding being called off, and then with Gabriel's death, I just haven't been the same. I seem to have lost all joy for life and all interest in everything around me.

I decided that I needed to get away. I needed to go find myself again, if that's even possible anymore.

Know that I am safe. And that I am closer to you than you can even imagine. I haven't gone far from home. Also know that one day, I will return to my rightful place among your ranks. I will be better and stronger and ready to conquer the evil that we work so hard to vanquish.

Until then, know that you are all in my heart and that I think of you all daily, praying for your safety.
