The Queen sat in her sister's room with her arms folded, waiting for her. All night she has been gone and the Medjie notified her that Lady Ishtar had been doing this sporatically for over a week. She wanted to know what was going on.

After Lady Ishtar's kidnapping, she hoped she would have settled down. It was bad enough after a Regency meeting she was informed by another guest that her sister went to Umbra without saying a word for spell componants. She said nothing of that, but this is reckless.

Moments later she heard the door open and Lady Ishtar entered. , "what or you doing in here." She asked the Queen.

"Where were you? The Medjie said you did not return last night."

Lady Ishtar looked down and then back at her sister. "This isn't how I planned +on having this conversation. I was with Lord Keldril Kil'ana."

The Queen glared a bit, "Who is this Lord Keldril? How did you meet him? Are his intentions honorable? Tell me he is at least nobility."

Lady Ishtar sat next to her sister and started to tell her of Keldril...

"I met him in Moonglow upon the road. He was talking with a few others I know. He and I had a very interesting conversation about his culture and other things. A few days later I ran into him again. We had another lovely conversation. For about a month we would run into each other and talk. I've seen him in various cities and yes , even Umbra at the tavern.

I am safe there, I am safe with him. He is of nobility however you may not approve of his race even though he is quite different from what you have described to me. He has been nothing but honorable and has expressed his love for me and I him. my sister I do not expect you to approve, nor understand. This is my choice. If you would like I will have him meet you."

The Queen listened carefully to what her sister was telling her. The looked at her squarely, "what is his race, that you feel I will not approve?", she asked sternly.

Ishtar quivered a bit and said, "he is drow."

The Queen paled. "He is what! You cannot be serious. Tell me the pirate that took you hit you on the head."

"No, he is very different. I have been learning his language. He has come to the surface to have more freedom. He is educated, polite and well mannered. I love him."

With a huff the Queen paused. "I would like to speak with him then. If he is honest with his intentions to me I will leave this be. If he is not, it will not bode well."

Nodding solemnly Lady Ishtar stated she would ask Lord Keldril to meet the Queen. The Queen then rose and abruptly left the room, leaving Lady Ishtar with her thoughts of fear and relief. At least now she did not have to hide her feelings...
