It was a cold and quiet night in Sanctus just like any other. The guards were carrying out their nightly patrols of the city streets. The innkeepers were cleaning up and closing down the Hostel. The citizens were inside their homes having dinner and spending time with their loved ones. All looked quiet throughout the city, especially in the Chancellor’s office. Spawn sat in his desk looking around pondering random thoughts. Vanquishing his evil brother once and for all, the battles he was in since he came into this realm, and his service to Sanctus. He knew it was time to put down the sword and enjoy the rest of his life.

He slowly stood up and walked to the door. Taking one last look around his office, he grinned proudly then walked out of his office. Spawn walked throughout the city watching the townspeople waving to him and the knights saluting him. He stopped in the middle of the road, took off his hat and waved at everyone around.

Spawn then said a magic chant which recalled him to his home where his wife Tika waited for him. He grinned as his wife walked up to him and kissed him.

"Ah... retired at last" Spawn said to himself as he walked inside his house with Tika at his side. The doors slowly closed behind him as he entered the house. Spawn sat in his room admiring the life of a retired warrior, commander, and man of the law. He laid his head down on the pillow on his bed and began to sleep.
