Far to the north in the ruins of Caina, Kaziganthi found himself returned to form. His last memories were that of Umbra and the Order being reformed under the newly crowned Lich Lord, Admoreth. The Death Knight knew not the changes that have taken place since his disappearance, nor of the reasons for his return. All he knew before was Oblivion's will and to answer to the Keeper of the Skull, but as he walked out of the collapsing, weakened Well of Souls, he felt as if something were different. Looking out at a city not recognizable, the Death Knight gave out a screech. Then vanishing from the frozen grounds with the words "Kal Ort Por," all that remained were a few frozen footsteps tracing his path from the Well.

His destination was the Orders second home. Stepping out into the streets of Umbra, there were a few gasps from streets at the Death Knights features, but for the most part, the citizens of the city were use to such sightings and carried on with their doings. Walking to the north towards what he remembered was Charnel Hill he came across nothing... Staring at the Ebon Skulls last known resting place, an awkward man came up behind him.

"You know, stairin’ at that won't make nothin' come back. Them old skull heads gone, same with there lil' black skull them crazies worshipped." He said as he walked by chuckling.

"Kal Xen Bal Beh," was all Kaziganthi spoke as a darkened figure appeared behind the man. He turned around and ran off into the woods, followed quickly by the spirit which stalked its prey. Could the words of this crazed man be true? If so, how did this happen? How could the members of the Order allow it? Why was he not summoned when the Skull was in danger? These were but a few of the thoughts running through his head as he walked back towards the city. Anger began to build up as he realized the strange feeling he felt in Caina was that of the Skull, or the lack of its presence. The Death Knight was free, to a point, to do as he wished and his first goal was to find the ones responsible for the Orders downfall. His search would be for the last known members of the Order of the Ebon Skull, those in charge, who let this... Unimaginable act occur.

As he neared the city of Umbra he recognized a building, as he approached it the door swung open as if moved by some magical hand. The room was dark and all he could see ahead of him was the frame of a cloaked figure. Kaziganthi knew this man, or what use to be a man. Darrien Church sat in a throne constructed of bone and some unknown black rock. With Kaziganthi’s eyes flaring deep within his skull he spoke.

“Is it true…? Is the Skull destroyed?”

Darrien replied with a slow nod and began to tell him the story of the Orders fate. He even offered the Death Knight a position within a new organization and a new way to serve Oblivion, he told him that there were “plans” in the works to fix the imbalances that exist within this world, but, with the hate he held for the remaining members of the Order, he declined. With the Ebon Skull no longer present, Oblivion’s hold that would have in the past forced Kaziganthi’s hand into joining with Darrien was missing. Walking out of the Crypt Kaziganthi prepared to continue his journey to Umbra. From there he returned to frozen ghost lands of Caina to plan his revenge against those that allowed the old Order to disappear
