Rryn paced the room after spending many hours contemplating a decision she knew would not be easy to make. Having sat such a short time upon this court she knew she had probably seen more through less jaded eyes than many had. She had heard the whispers and the rumors of those that felt the RCL and the Regency had become to close and wished them seperated again. It seemed their time had come and they would soon get their wish. She sat down and wrote one of the hardest letters she had ever had to write.

I write you to express my dissapointment in the handling of recent Royal Court of Light Meetings.
At this time, I do not feel that your interests, loyalty and trust lie with your seated court but rather you wish to seek council from outside sources and what they promise to do for you. I can only hope that in future they will learn to treat you with the respect they have not shown in the past.

In light of this, as I do not feel we seat a purpose or need in the RCL, I hereby withdraw Kuran Yuuretsu from the Royal Court of Light.

Beyond our removal of ourselves from the court, I see no reason why we should not continue good relations and any and all trades and treaties will remain in effect with Luna. I remove our influence on this court but not our friendship. Should you need us, you have only to contact us.

She allowed the sand she sprinkled lightly over the letter to dry the ink. She then carefully rolled the parchment and closed it with the royal seal of her station. Several moments later the parchment was in the hands of her trusted messenger and he was on his way to Luna.

A messenger arrives, clad in the colors of the House of the Gauntlet and Luna. He hands you a parchment with the seal of the Grand Duchess.

Greetings my friend,

I do hope this letter finds you well and in good spirits. It saddens me that you have chosen to make this move. I hope we may remain on good terms and our trade agreements will certainly be upheald on our part.

I will make the same statement I have made to the Regent upon recieving his resignation.

I have read your resignation request and I will hold it for two weeks.

If at that time you have not communicated that you wish to discuss it or that you wish to resend it, then I will enter it into the records at the following Royal Court meeting. This I do in hopes that you will reconsider this hasty move.

I understand that you value the Lord Regent's recomendations, but may I point out that the Royal Court has always remained independent from the Regency and was only formed for the benefit of all that reside in Malas, to offer protection and comradery for its citizens and the innocent of Light in Luna. You need not be one or the other and can remain both. I offer you this opportunity to consider my words. This will give you a chance to think over what the effects it will have on the peoples of Sosaria. They are the ones that will be effected most.

I leave you with the same sugestion I left with the Regent, meditate on it, write down your grievances and address them directly both your part and those that offend you, then set it aside for three days. Go back and look it over again and see what solutions you can think of to change things. If you still come to the same conclusion write them again in a diplomatic way that you are willing to share. Then contact me and we can meet to discuss it. There may be some ideas that will work for all parties concerned without tearing apart what we have built and burning bridges so freshly constructed in good faith.
