"It is written in the scrolls of Julianos the prophet, that in the days of Lord British the orcs wouldst experience a new thirst for knowledge and power. Saith power deriveth from an ancient and godlike artifact known as the Eye of the Oracle. It is also written that for saith power to become absolute, an Ancient one must be sacrificed. Then all Sosaria will be plunged into darkness, and the orcs would riseth to power and rule with the evil gods for a thousand years.”
So wrote Julianos the Prophet in the days long ago. His scrolls where ancient fixtures in the Lyceum when our fathers wore swaddling clothes! Be it known to all that Julianos was a true prophet and but for the efforts of noble heroes guided by, The Oracle, such a dark fate may have indeed come to pass.
The Oracle was an ancient guardian of Verity Isle: it is said that the Arcane Guardians still watch over the people of Moonglow but they have not been seen in many years. Now the very existence of the Arcane Guardians is thought by scholars to be mere legend. It was said in the writings of Julianos that a time of great danger will once again come to the land and the Arcane Guardians would be sought once again.
