The Fel Frostwood Wars (Felucca, February, 2007)

Frostwood is big business. It can be crafted into uber weapons & fishing poles, and, is worth 48 points per board when donated for reward artifacts to the Britain Public Library or the Vesper Museum. Because Felucca trees give more wood, Trammel players like to log frostwood trees in Fel. The two sides are at war over the Fel Frostwood resources.

"If it's a war," says clearwater (UZI), Deputy Finance Minister of Minax.

"Most Trams gave up." clearwater represents the Fel side in the conflict. "I take it personal that Tram people use our resources and don't come here for anything else.

They should learn PvP if they want Fel resources."

He is allied with Misty Mistress (*FF*), Guild Mistress of the "Fel Frostwood is Ours" guild.

On the Trammel side is a loose coalition of guilds & independents. The "Ocllo Crafting Company" guild (OCC) may have controlled 75% of the frostwood on Ocllo island before clearwater's forces attacked them. OCC is allied with several other guilds including TnF, giving the Trammel side over 400 players.

Battles have raged in Ocllo, the cave near Covetous that can be reached from the Ocllo portal, Buc's Den crossroads & at numerous frostwood logging trees across Fel.

Co (BFK), Stunt Bum of Bum Fights Crew, says that OCC has had much help from the red BeReTtA (TnF), Bird Man of Truth and Freedom. Co says that BeReTtA continues to fight and spy for OCC.

Both sides have reds who will kill any logger who is not part of their own group. Looted frostwood doesn't account for much though; most frostwood is logged. "We turned our Jackers red," explains clearwater.

Trammel logger Merrill Huntsman (LLTS), Proud Member of The Syndicate, has noticed an increase in red activity. "Was PK'd yesterday by 3 reds. One was LNR.

The other two had their guild affiliations turned off." Interestingly, Merrill added, "Sometimes reds don't attack if my guild title is turned off."

One final note: A mysterious Trammel logger named Jon has been giving the reds "fits." He has an "excellent defense template," clearwater said.

"But I think we cracked it. We killed him 10 times yesterday."

"So, you stopped Jon?" I asked clearwater. There was a measure of respect in his reply. "Dunno. It depends on how much he can take."
