-Stone Circle-

This area isn't like the other hot spots that I have studied in the region. It seems to have some of the same energy signitures as a shrine, but it is nowhere near potent enough to be one. There does seem to be some sort of similarity between the energies here and the ones found at the civilized Gargoyle Shrine

-Valor Shrine-

Sailing on ship between the stone circle and the Shrine of Valor has been most enlightening. There do seem to be ley lines running out from the circle, though they were too faint to detect before. The line that runs out to this island got noticeably stronger as I got closer to the Shrine.

-Stone Circle-

Now that I know what to look for, I have managed to find out a little more. There is definitely a connection of some sort between this place and the Valor shrine. Furthermore, there are 7 other faint ley line signitures running out from here in different directions. Humility is next, maybe I will learn more there.

-Humility Shrine-

The distances involved here are too vast to accurately work out any correlation between here and the stone circle. There are about 3 unaccounted-for minor ley lines in this region though, so there is enough evidence to suggest a connection should the other shrines show similar signitures.

-Stone Circle-

Ah ha! So that's what the trouble was. My observations of the "Ra" and "Lum" runes show that the problem I had with the first set came from using magical transportation between the stone circle and the shrines. The spacial shifting threw them out of whack. Once they are carried to a shrine and properly attuned with the mantra they seem to be fine for magical travel. That cuts off half of the rest of my trip at least, though I still have to carry this one to the Shrine of Honor overland...
