Title: Gargoyles - An Intelligent Race
Author: Gargish Dragon
Gargoyles are greatly misunderstood for what they seem to be. They are considered to be evil in nature and thus are hunted by many. Couldst thou believe that they are in fact a quite intelligent race and have developed a high culture? The Gargoyle civilization is believed to be in increadible depth below the earth.
The Gargoyles speak their own language which is made of syllables.
Some Gargish syllables have even found their way into the Arcane Arts of Britannia. Every time thou, Adept Mages, speak Gargish when you invoke your powerful spells. I shall explain the basics of the Gargish language in another book.
Gargoyles are a very social community. They take great care of their offspring, which is born from eggs. Gargoyles go in two forms, winged and wingless ones. The winged ones are those of greater intelligence and take care of those without wings. The Gargoyle world is a very harsh environment, thus the race needs to work hard in order to survive.
Their philosophy helps them to accomplish this. It is based on the three principles of Control, Passion and Diligence. Based on these are the Gargish virtues of Direction, Feeling and Persistence. Combined, Control together with Passion gives Balance. Passion combined with Diligence gives Achievement. Diligence joins with Control to give Precision.
The absence of the three Principles leads to Chaos, being the opposite of Order. All three principles combined gives Singularity, which is the most important virtue. It is how Gargoyles are working in the same direction, fulfilling their tasks.
