Title: Ideals of the Spirit

Author: Rashid Oryan

To often do we disconnect from that which we cannot see. Due to our advances in the sciences, we tend to remove ourselves from the ethreal energies that bind to our very being. In my experience, I have seen that the ultimate strength comes from the energies within. Energies that we assume do not contribute to our physical state. I do hope to inspire you to think otherwise.

In all our wonderous magics and abilities, we find that there is a connection with a strength we cannot explain. These powers could emit from deities or from the very land itself! Regardless, the ability to harness these energies exists. There are energies that exist in frequencies beyond our optical range, though that does not mean they should not be harnessed.

Necromancers study and adhere to the energy associated with Undeath.

Paladins call forth powers from the ideals of the Virtues. Samurai work within a system of honor in combat, and they draw strength from that. But if there is an energy that we all are made from, an endless cypher of spiritual power. Why do we not profess it? Why do we not tap into it?

I believe that we have grown distant from the ideals of the spirit. The thing that powers our very core. The strength and possibilities of growth from that power are endless.

I challange you to add meditation to your daily routine. I challange you to believe in the unconscious feelings that you have felt in all your days. Do you feel the energies about you? You should become much more relaxed, much more aware.

These are only the beginning stages of your awareness.

I do warn you; in gaining this awareness, the world around you will change.

You shall see the lies and uncouth that exists in your peers. No longer will you be blinded by the light of incorrect information. For all knowledge will be available to you. You will walk without fear.

I shalt not challange the other ideals that exist, though I do wish you to begin looking inward before the created systems of faith and direction change you.

These are the basic teachings of my father, Rufus Oryan. Throughout my life he has always spoken of the abilities that lay dormant in humans. Without offering a bit of themself to the abyss or the void, they are entilted to abilities and awareness that they could not believe. I am unsure of another way to stress this ideal to my peers. If there is an interest in who you really are, perhaps these ideals will speak to you.

Alas, I am taught not to force these ideals upon the great peoples of this land. My purpose is to inspire, and give the gift of knowledge should one so desire.
