Title: the First rare Weapons

Author: Historian MacLeod

Before UO reached its second age, there were a number of glorious weapons. Each had only one make, and each had power beyond measure.

Among these were five that I personally came across. First was the Warlord's Halbred Of Vanquishing. It was blood red, and in a time when vanquishing was the most powerful of weapons, the Warlord's Halbred far surpassed that ability.

The second was the mythical bow created by elves, named Rythyllnsynn. It too had great power and accuracy. The third was a mace of equal power, named for its master. It was called the Gauntlet of G'Thunk.

Another ignoble weapon was the green spear PitVyper, which could deadly poison with each swift strike. Finally, the dreaded Bow of the Orcish King. This weapon has long since faded from memory, leaving only its name and a glimpse of its red color in my mind.

All these weapons were symbols of great power in the hands of their owners, but all fell from history. The Orcish King's Bow was put on a boat that fell in to the sea shortly after. Rythyllnsynn was stolen from its owner, and disappeared. To protect them, the master of the warlord's Halbred and PitVyper stored his goods in the bank, where they have never left to this day. The Gauntlets were given away as a present, and since also disappeared. Though these weapons have faded from sight, their glory lives on in history.
