The North Britannian Brown Snipe, while a rarity in modern days was quite well established in the times before 'The Shattering'. It is not known what caused the decline, other than rumors and conjecture.
While the Snipe population is obviously in decline it is not unheard of for citizens of Britannia to report of seeing one or hunting for one as it it's feathers are used in a curative poultice for puncture wounds.
The last known siting of The North Britannian Brown Snipe, is said to have been by a relative of Don Herol a miner from Minoc. This testamony cannot be coroborated as it was not Don who saw the Snipe, but a distant relative.
