Wine, Lovers, Song

- Wisdom of the Fools -

Three great principles lay the foundation for the virtues, they are:

Wine, Lovers, and Song

The Principle of Wine

The fool finds pleasure in the fruit of the vineyard in whatever venue they may be.

"Perpetual inebriation is the penultimate goal."

The Principle of Lovers

In the arms of another the fool finds comfort, warmth, and ecstacy.

"Paradise is in a room loud but dark."

The Principle of Song

The true fool seeks the power of song. Melodies, lyrics, and chords of power.

"Sing a song of silence."

Paths to the Virtues

Wine alone leads to Drunkeness.

Lovers left to themselves find Sensuality.

Song by itself leads to Harmony.

Wine tempered by Lovers brings forth Lust.

Lovers and Song begin to Dance. Song and Wine produce Laziness.

Combining the Three Principles yields Indulgence.

... the final virtue is more complicated ...

The absence of the Three Principles is misery.

Thus, the enlightened fool will understand that the eighth virtue is the opposite of misery, indeed: Happiness.

Duties of the Fool

Those who would be fools must strive in all things to embody one of the virtues outlined in this codex of wisdom.

Further, we must always strive to share pleasure and wonder with those around us.

We must always remember our noble though diminutive patron:

The Pixie.

The future awaits those who, in good conscious, rush forward the hour of the coming dawn...

Ah! Like a true fool you have wasted time and flipped through the seemingly empty pages to discover this!

The password is: "Nice outfit." The reply is: "Don't be foolish."

Tell the Purple Fool this and you will be aligned with the Church of Fools.
