Title: Yew Docks Proposal
Author: SunWolf
Good evening, your highness and distinguished members of the council. With the help of Yew's citizens, we have evaluated Yew's current status and have come to a consensus. As Yew's representative, I am honored with the privilege of presenting before the council some points which we feel would help better the city and more importantly, save lives.
With your assistance, we wish to pursue plans to build docks adjoining the Yew Mill which would facilitate the export of wine and flour to distant ports. This would additionally aid the shipwrights of Great Oak Vessels in launching thier ships, as opposed to the rather crude and unproductive method they have been using in past years. Despite our best efforts, Yew annually suffers a loss of thirty percent in trade due to caravan attacks on the roads in which manpower is diverted to maintain their safety.
We feel that an established waterport would alleviate many of these woes, with one ship load being equal to fifty or so packhorses. We hope that in your wisdom, you consider our request, which we feel will ultimately contribute to the betterment of relations and trade amongst all towns.
